Web Analyst

The Codifyd Commerce Offshore Web Analyst is responsible for the execution of tactical processes and select contributions to client deliverables.  Web Analysts are integral members of the project team, as they are intimately involved with the isolation, analysis, documentation, and visualization of data from sources including Web Analytics and (occasionally) Business Intelligence tools. The relevant source(s) will vary by project or task at hand and include Google Analytics, IBM Digital Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and exports from other client data sources defined ad hoc.

Web Analysts are a trusted resource for contributing thoughtful analyses gleaned from large data sets. Web Analysts must be comfortable using statistical methods to aggregate and develop meaningful insights from disparate data sources, as stipulated by the Statement of Work and when tasked ad hoc or via project plan by a Consultant or other member of the US project team.  This role requires deep knowledge of Web Analytics requirements gathering, implementation, validation, and reporting in addition to knowledge of SEM/SEO, Site Search, and A/B Testing. A strong understanding of attribution modeling and programmatic data analysis & visualization using R (or Python) are highly beneficial.


  • Maintains responsibility for the accuracy, consistency, and style of metrics reporting & presentation from Web Analytics tools, various SEO tasks and SEM campaign management elements, as well as Site Search tuning and A/B & Multivariate testing efforts
  • Leverages qualitative & quantitative methodologies to analyze captured data using Excel, SQL, R/Python, and Tableau
  • Develops reports and dashboards to perform competitive benchmarking and capture digital performance indicators
  • Escalates issues/findings pertaining to any of the above to the US Consultant/project team

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in descriptive and exploratory data analysis using Excel and SQL (R programming and Tableau visualization skills a plus)
  • Experience with A/B & Multivariate testing tools and methodologies
  • Solid understanding of Web Analytics terminology and technical underpinnings, common industry KPIs, SEO & SEM web tools, and the mechanisms behind prevailing Site Search (such as Endeca, Elasticsearch, and Solr) and A/B & Multivariate testing technologies
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in Web Analytics, SEO, SEM, A/B & Multivariate testing, and Site Search
